As is well known, it is very difficult to receive mobile phone signals in some relatively concealed places, such as basements, elevators, urban villages, and commercial buildings. The density of buildings can also affect the strength of mobile phone signals. Last month, Lintratek received a project to amplify 2G and 4G mobile phone signals at a wastewater treatment plant. Currently, many new wastewater treatment plants use underground treatment, so the project party needs to address the issue of mobile signal reception in the underground layers.
Basement 1
Lintratek’s technical team arrived at the wastewater treatment plant and found that the plant’s space was very large, making it difficult to access the internet and make calls normally in the control room. The structure of Basement 1 is complex, with numerous reinforced concrete structures significantly obstructing the signal. Basement 2 has relatively fewer wall obstructions but is still under construction; the project party hopes to implement a temporary solution first to ensure communication for the construction workers.
Basement 2
After discussion and analysis, Lintratek’s technical team decided to use the industrial 4G KW23C-CD as the main unit for the mobile signal booster system.

Host: KW23C-CD Industrial 4G Signal Booster
KW23C-CD Industrial 4G Signal Booster
Accessories:
1. Outdoor Log-periodic Antenna
2. Indoor Wall-mounted Antennas
3. Power Divider
4. Dedicated Feeder Cable
Installation Steps:
Log-periodic Antenna
First, fix the outdoor log-periodic antenna in a location with a good signal source.
Wall Mounted Antenna
Lay the cable through the passage on Basement 1 into the wastewater plant, connecting the cable source to the main unit. Connect the power cable from the other end of the main unit to the cavity splitter.
Cell Phone Signal Testing
Then, install the power supply of one wall-mounted antenna to the cavity splitter. Connect the other wall-mounted antenna to the right side using the feeder cable.
Wastewater Treatment Plant Parking Lot
The Foshan City Wastewater Plant is a newly built treatment plant. The efficient sedimentation tank area on Basement 1 is nearly 1,000 square meters and is an area completely without mobile signals.
After installing the Lintratek industrial 4G signal booster, the signal strength in the central area of the plant is 80. The signal strength at the farthest corners of this space was tested and found to be 90-100. The call quality is excellent. In the central control room on the ground floor of Basement 1 and the second floor, the mobile signal strength is 93.
There is little difference in signal strength between the central area and the control room. Now, mobile phones can be used normally for calls and internet access indoors.
