Where Does The Cell Phone Signal Come From?
Recently Lintratek received an inquiry from a client, during the discuss, he asked a question: Where does the signal of our mobile phone come from?
So here we would like to explain you the principle about it.
First of all, what does cell phone signal mean?
Cell phone actually is a kind of electromagnetic wave that is transmitted during the base station and the cell phone. It also is called carrier in telecommunication industry.
It converts voice signals into electromagnetic wave signals that are conducive to propagation in the air to achieve the purpose of communication transmission.
Q1. Where does the mobile phone signal come from?
I believe that many people have heard of the two terms base station or signal station (tower), but they are actually one thing. The mobile phone signal is transmitted through this thing we call the base station.
Q2. What is electromagnetic wave?
To put it simply, electromagnetic waves are oscillating particle waves that are derived and emitted in space by electric and magnetic fields that are in phase and perpendicular to each other. They are electromagnetic fields that propagate in the form of waves and have wave-particle duality. The propagation speed: the speed of light level, no propagation medium is required (A sound wave needs a medium). Electromagnetic waves are absorbed and reflected when they meet metal, and are weakened when they are blocked by buildings, and are weakened when it is windy, rainy and thunderous. The shorter the wavelength and the higher the frequency of electromagnetic waves, the more data transmitted per unit time.
Q3. How can we optimize the signal?
There are currently two methods. One is to inform your operator that the local signal is not good, and the network optimization department will go to test the signal strength. If the signal strength does not meet the requirements, the operator will build a base station here to improve your network.
One is to use a mobile phone signal amplifier. Its principle is to use the forward antenna (donor antenna) to receive the downlink signal of the base station into the repeater, amplify the useful signal through the low-noise amplifier, suppress the noise signal in the signal, and improve the signal-to-noise Ratio (S/N); then down-converted to the intermediate frequency signal, filtered by the filter, amplified by the intermediate frequency, and then frequency-shifted and up-converted to the radio frequency, amplified by the power amplifier, and transmitted to the mobile station by the rear antenna (retransmitting antenna); At the same time, the uplink signal of the mobile station is received by the backward antenna, and processed by the uplink amplification link along the opposite path: that is, it is transmitted to the base station through a low-noise amplifier, a down-converter, a filter, an intermediate amplifier, an up-converter, and a power amplifier, thereby Achieve two-way communication between the base station and the mobile station.
Mobile phone signal amplifiers can be used in dense urban areas, urban fringes and suburbs, and rural areas. It is very convenient. Which option do you prefer?
